Worship at St Nicholas Church is mainly Eucharistic (at the 9am service each Sunday following The Book of Common Prayer; at the principal service adopting a more modern liturgy), while at least once a month the principal service on a Sunday takes the form of an informal all age worship. Through this service we are seeking new ways to encourage greater participation and engagement with young families. 

Music is an important part of worship. There is a substantial pipe organ which is quite usable, though significant work some ten years ago leaves some further work needed on the instrument. There is also an electronic piano/keyboard used when more appropriate.
